What type of Clothes Moths or Beetle are there?

Common clothes moths and beetles that attack fabrics are collectively known as textile pests.
The three main species are the Common Clothes Moth, Case Bearing Clothes Moth and Varied Carpet Beetle.

Why are moths in my house?

Clothes Moths and Carpet beetles lay eggs in natural fibres that contain the protein Keratin. Once hatched, the larve of these insects chew through fibes of carpets or clothes causing damage as they go.
